With real-time load balancing and Optimum Route algorithmic, AscenLink's intelligent router engine directs each session or connection to the best available link. It also supports policy-based routing, persistent routing, and traffic scheduling to effectively translate your business policy into your network policy. AscenLink supports non-NAT mode to support Intranet traffic load balancing for either private leased lines, or MPLS-based VPN.
The network health check engine monitors the network around the clock and provides fail-over/fail-back functions.
When external users request the Web server's IP address, SwiftDNS dynamically returns DNS responses according to the link quality and load-balances incoming traffic across the different ISP lines.
Health check and SwiftDNS guarantee uninterrupted availability through dynamic DNS reconfiguration, which ensures that a response with a valid IP address is returned to an external user's request for a web server's IP address. AscenLink's Multi-homing system supports both built-in DNS or DNS relay to your existing DNS server.
AscenLink supports a active/passive deployment for a timely contingency backup in case of hardware failure. In the case of a hardware failure in the active unit, the passive unit will take over immediately to ensure continuous function. AscenLink also supports port-level HA to enable all the switches connected to AscenLink be dual-deployed for complete HA deployment for the entire network topology.
